Baguio City is considered the Summer Capital of the Philippines. It’s located in the Cordillera Central mountain range in northern Luzon at an altitude of about 1500 meters above sea level. The city is well-known for its mild climate. If you prefer a milder climate, you won’t be disappointed. Because of the high altitude the temp range averages between 15 -- 23 degrees Celsius, rarely exceeding 26″C.












Camp John Hay is Baguio’s most popular visitor attraction. This beautiful resort located in the mountains and features a world class competition golf course designed by Jack Niclaus. There are hotels, a shopping center and a convention center, among other attractions. There are also plenty of parks, Botanical gardens and places to go hiking. You will also find markets, shops, local crafts, The Mansion (official residence of the president of the Republic of the Philippines), Asin Hot Springs and many more. If you visit the Asin Hot Springs, be sure to stop at the Woodcarver’s Village where you can get hand carved pieces from small figurines to large statues.












There’s the Easter Weaving Room where you can purchase hand woven fabrics. Silver and metal smiths as well as other craftsmen are scattered throughout Baguio. You may want to sample some of the delicious treats available in Baguio as well, like the Choco Flakes (light and dark chocolate), peanut brittle, strawberry jams and preserves as well as a host of others.
